SAMSUNG CONSISTENTLY MAKES THE BEST!
Comments about Samsung Stainless Steel Flex Duo Slide-In Electric Range:
We recently purchased several appliances from Samsung (range top stove, microwave oven, LED television, washer/dryer set), and the attention to detail, the ease of which they are installed, operated and designed makes me glad that I bought them and sad that I don't have more money to finish upgrading the rest of our home with this stellar equipment. The stove has friggin Wi-Fi....I mean seriously! The washer and dryer has it as well. The Television is amazingly clear and makes even old movies look like they were recently filmed. Hats off to Samsung.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

super beautiful in my new kitchen. I am disappointed, however. After installing, I learned it is not possible to use both oven sections for baking at different temperatures. If using the top half and bottom half, the top half can only be convection. The bottom rack has a big lip at the front which makes it awkward to just slide items like cookie sheets into the oven. I may check to see if a regular rack can be purchased. The warming drawer is shallow compared to other ovens I've had.
Slide-In Double Door Double Oven - Yeah Its Finally Arrived

There was great anticipation of this oven in my household. We were replacing an oven circa 1995. We have been waiting for the duo oven with double door in a slide in configuration with the touchpad on the front. Finally released, we purchased right away. As with all products there are pros and cons. I'll review in no particular order of importance my impressions using this oven over about 2 months of use now. Pros: - the duo oven feature with the split door - ceramic cooktop and arrangement of the burners, very functional - the warming drawer is great with 3 settings and we can still conserve some of the storage we had in the old oven (which only had a storage drawer in this location but which we grew to rely on). - ability to alter oven temperature (see below con). - the cooktop burners are awesome. They heat quickly, evenly and the ability to adapt the right front burner to pan size is great. It does bring a full pasta water pot to build quickly. - once a ceramic cooktop cleaner is applied (see con below, it would have been nice to get some with the new oven since they say to apply before using!), the top cleans up easily. One of my aluminum pots had a rough spot which left Aluminum "scratches" on the cooktop which removed easily. - the water steam cleaning cycle works great - cookies are browned evenly even when placed on multiple racks - convection cooking is new to us so we are getting used to it but so far so good. - using the "option" setting to allow for an automatic 25 deg temperature reduction during the convection cycle is nice. You still need to calculate a reduction in time though. This seems like an easy additional calculation that could be programmed in making convection cooking conversion from standard recipes a snap. - style goes with our transitional kitchen Cons: - didn't come with even a sample of ceramic cook top products. Come on Samsung, for what this unit costs this would have been nice - didn't come with graphite lub for the shelf sliders. While it isn't necessary early in the oven's life, it would have been nice to get a tube with the new unit for future use. Again, for the cost of this unit- come on Samsung. - the front control panel is overly touch sensitive so that we were turning on the warning drawer unit by just brushing against it. Bad news if there is anything heat sensitive stored in the drawer. We end up putting the lock on after use to prevent accidental activation. - I have not yet found a way to change settings if I've made a mistake in setting up a cooking episode without turning the oven off and starting over. In other words there is no cancel or backup function. This would be nice since you WILL make mistakes when setting up a cooking sequence. - probably most important was that the oven temperature which is supposed to be calibrated at the factory was 25 degreed low. We noticed this because it seemed we were undercooking everything so put our oven thermometer in and discovered the lower calibration. To Samsung's credit you may go thru the "options" menu and adjust the temperature. After this adjustment the oven temp is right on. I suggest you check this temperature the first time you fire the oven up and make the correction. Notably the temp was low in the bottom and whole oven configurations, but in the top oven it read correctly. Hum. - difficulty getting the wi fi to work. Haven't resolved this yet. - lots of rack options with this oven, but in order to avoid storing them outside the oven we tend to leave them in. Not much of a problem really but occasionally causes some juggling of racks in different positions depending on the configuration (single or double oven) being used. - stainless steel doesn't match our Samsung Stainless refrigerator. Close enough, but different shades. - we convection roasted the other day and the meat was not as surface crispy as I expected, but it may have been the particular recipe. - the layout of the touch pad is such that it is easy to cancel the oven while you intend to cancel a timer. Individuals with "fat fingers" beware. There really should be more distance between the control buttons. Haven't yet used: - temperature probe - wi fi - broiler (we don't generally broil) - full cleaning cycle Summary: a big step from our ancient ceramic model with traditional oven. I guess anything would have done. We are generally happy with the Samsung and glad to have the slide in model available. We already appreciate the double oven option and use it this way frequently. Baking is a good acid test and so far we are not disappointed, at least not with cookies. We haven't tried a cake yet. The cooktop is very even and great for eggs and french toast and pancakes. The touchpad requires getting used to. It is overly sensitive and could have more useful functions. We like it, which is good because we intend to have it for many many years. This oven has lots of great features and design advantages, but still needs substantial refinement to live up to the price point.
Eyes Heat Fast

Another great product from Samsung. The double oven doors gives lots of options for baking small meals or large, making it really energy efficient. When using the small oven, no waste of heating an entire oven. This unit also has a classy stylish look with the black stainless steel front. It comes with a spacer for the top back, just in case the unit will not slide closer to the wall. One negative is that when you lean against one of the knobs when reaching the cabinet or microwave above the range, it's very easy to turn that eye on. This has happened several times to us.

They just installed my new slide in range. WOW...beautiful!!! Seems to heat up quickly etc. I wish I could tell you more, but haven't used it yet. My first impression...going to love it!!! Dual oven...always something I've wanted. Convection...???...we will see:) Very expensive, but it is exactly what I wanted, so....we will see:) Love the black stainless steel, as my other appliances are black.
