The control panel is bright and back-lit so you can always read it, day or night. The Broil King Crown Pellet 500 has a pellet hopper with an 18-pound capacity, ensuring longer grill times without the stress of constantly changing pellet flavors. Find the dump-out access hatch on the back of the hopper and empty the used pellets whenever you need more or store your appliance. Skip standing guard by your grill and instead, download the Broil King app, which receives signals from your pellet grill using built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. Just open the app on your smartphone and you can control the grill from any location, giving you the power to start cooking programs, set targets, browse recipes and more. Connected directly to the Broil King controller on the app, there are two meat probes that monitor the exact temperature of your meat, tracking the progress until it's done. No more guesswork when you grill. The cooking grids on the Broil King Crown Pellet 500 offer 800 square inches of cooking space and are made from porcelain-coated cast iron, ideal for making sear marks on your meat. There are also channels on the opposite side of the cooking grids, designed to funnel fat directly into the drip tray. The grease-management system of the Broil King Crown Pellet 500 is a pull-out shelf in your grill, safely out of reach for backyard animals or pets; just line it with a disposable grease tray liner and use a Broil King grid lifter to remove it whenever it's ready to be cleaned.
