The Debut Carbon is already nearly the perfect turntable, especially considering the price badge and the used materials. Now we took our time to think again. We have done a lot of research to make the Debut Carbon even better, but our main objective has not changed over the years. We still want to build an affordable high-performance turntable that not just looks incredibly luxurious and modern, but also features a great sound quality.
The Debut Carbon EVO focuses on the core aspects that make a turntable sound great. Technically correct design - expert craftsmanship - handmade in the EU. This turntable is built to last you a lifetime!
Additional features that might negatively impact the overall audio performance or longevity are left out. At that level of sonic performance, it is always better to opt for a separate phono stage. If you want Bluetooth connectivity or a USB interface - we offer a broad portfolio of components at different performance levels to suit your budget.

Improved motor suspension. The Debut Carbon EVO features our new designed motor suspension. We have improved the old design to consistently reduce the vibrations better than before. - Metal Feet
Damped & height adjustable. The new Debut Carbon Evo stands on three height adjustable damped aluminium feet to guarantee the perfect stand. - 1.7 kg Platter
Heavy steel and TPE damped. We added a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) ring on the inside of the platter. The result is an even quieter and noiseless operation with less wow and flutter. - 33/45/78 RPM

We used our technology and experience gained from the past and fit damping techniques of highend turntables into the Debut Carbon EVO. Looking at more advanced TPE damping and highmass sandwich constructions we were able to come up with a new motor and suspension solution for the Debut Carbon EVO. - Anytime the perfect stand
Our new Debut Carbon EVO does not just look great - it also always stands perfectly level. It uses 3 height adjustable heavy-duty metal feet to ensure a level positioning on every surface. - Controlled playback speeds
Besides being able to effortlessly change replay speeds with the push of a button, the playback speed is electronically controlled with the utmost precision, which results in the most accurate and stable speeds. - Damped from the inside
Our previous metal platter was already heavier than anybody else‘s on the market, but metal platters inherently have a disadvantage: resonance. Our TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) technology now helps to damp the resonance completely and also increases the weight to 1,.7 kg. Because the TPE is mounted to the inside of the platter‘s rim, the moving energy will also create a flywheel effect. The result is an even quieter and noiseless operation with less wow and flutter. - Clean look & new colours
You wont find any button, switch or printing on the plinth to ensure the luxurious aesthetics. The speed control switch has been moved to the bottom of the plinth, to keep the clean look the Debut is known for. The Debut Carbon EVO is not only timeless by offering traditional high-gloss black, white and red finishes or our fabled real-wood walnut veneer. Completely new, unique and trend-setting are the beautifully realized satin signature finishes in 5 different variations. - The Tonearm
8.6 inch carbon. The new Debut Carbon EVO features the proven 8.6" one piece Carbon tonearm design. The super stiff, but lightweight tonearm delivers an insane sound quality with a convincing sound stage. - Output
Gold plated sockets. You can always change your RCA output cable and upgrade it with your preffered one. The gold plated connectors will always provide the best connection. - Phono Cable

Last night, I listened to my home theater system with my Hue lights turned low, a refreshing beverage in my hand and some of the greatest classics of all time on my sound system.
I recently purchased a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo Turntable (mine is blue but the model is available in different colors) and have hooked it up to my stereo system. Last night, for no particular reason, we were swept up in the desire to listen to some of the classics. We listened to Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors," Taylor Swift's "Folklore" (which sounds amazing on this, by the way) and Johnny Cash's "Greatest Hits" on vinyl. We took turns switching over the record and changing it. We looked through the cool glow of our Hue lights at liner notes and talked about memories both old and new.
The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo Turntable is a manual turntable, meaning I have to raise and lower the tonearm when I want to listen to it. Sometimes you just want that nostalgia. Having listened to a few different turntables, I found the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo Turntable to be a fantastic value with magnificent sound quality. Its features include:
- Pre-adjusted Sumiko Rainier cartridge for great sound quality
- Adjustable feet to keep the turntable level if your stand is not. As a side note, I did purchase a platform—it really improved the bass
- A manual tonearm because I like the feeling of starting my own record
- Available in multiple colors so it fits with your home décor and personal style
- A dust cover, which was helpful as I am not a fan of dust
- Plays 33/45/78 RPM (the tiny ones, the bigger ones, and the standard-sized records)
- Does not have a phono stage so you can add a quality one or use the one inside of your receiver (if it has one)
Even though we carry some other turntables that, in my humble opinion, are better, the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo Turntable is fantastic for the money. Listening to some music, both older and newer, took me on a trip down memory lane. If you would like to experience that for yourself, come on in and pick one up.
