Golfers of all skill levels turned out to putt for pink during the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation's 20th annual Play for the Cure Golf Outing June 20 at Evanston Golf Club in Skokie.
Nearly $80,000 was raised as more than 90 guests enjoyed 18 holes of golf. Golfers donated for a chance to win premium raffle prizes, including "West Side Story" and "Beauty and the Beast" theater packages as well as a Dana Rebecca Designs diamond necklace. All golfers went home with gift certificates from Abt Electronics.
The outing began with lunch in the Mix Grill Dining Room followed by tee-off at 1 p.m. The day was capped off with an evening cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception.
All event proceeds benefit breast cancer research programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
