PhoneSoap UV-C Sanitizers

PhoneSoap UV-C Sanitizer

At Brigham Young University in 2009, cousins Wes LaPorte and Dan Barnes learned about the various bacteria that contaminate our cellphones. Using the science labs on campus, they swabbed their phones, saw the results for themselves, and decided that something should be done about it. Using Dan’s Business Marketing education and Wes' science background, the pair developed the first prototype for a device called PhoneSoap that uses powerful UV-C light to disinfect a phone.

Their first Kickstater campaign in 2012 surpassed their original goals and PhoneSoap sold 22,349 units in their first year. In 2015, Dan and Wes appeared on "Shark Tank" and received three offers. After choosing to partner with Lori Greiner, the team went on to be wildly successful on the television shopping network QVC and began to develop more products like the PhoneSoap XL for tablets, PhoneSoap Wireless, and PhoneSoap Go. To date, the company has sold over one million units and counting. Thanks to PhoneSoap, people all over the world have been able to safely and effectively kill 99.99% of household germs on cellphones, remotes, keys, tablets, and more.
