In this video, Adele Schober from Breville talks about using the Breville Electric Hot Wok, proper storage and more. This wok can handle multiple cooking styles including steaming, slow cooking, shallow frying, stewing and boiling, although the most popular choice is stir-frying. Stir-frying is both an energy-efficient and healthy way to cook your meals. The Breville Electric Hot Wok features a butterfly-shaped heating element that heats the pan along the sides to mirror authentic Asian-style cooking methods. The quantanium nonstick base of the wok uses less oil and cleans up easily. While Breville recommends hand washing, the lid is dishwasher safe. The Breville Electric Hot Wok has 14 heat settings, including a high sear function. To learn more about how to high sear correctly, watch Schober demonstrate in this helpful video. Schober urges you to only add the oil to this wok once it's warm for optimal cooking results. As this pan is designed with a sturdy base and handles, you can even transfer it to your dining room table for banquet-style family eating. When you're finished cooking and your Breville Electric Hot Wok is clean and ready for storage, be sure to lay a cloth or paper towels inside your pan before placing the probe inside to prevent scratching the nonstick coating.
