I bought TWO of these for two kitchens in my house. BOTH FAILED with the exact same problem - the LCD touch-panel quits working. Research on Internet shows this is a VERY common problem. Replacement is about 3/4 cost of original purchase. DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE, it WILL fail.

This is my third Dacor Microwave all the same model. The first one died right after warrenty, the mother board. The second one came and the display wasn't working. The one I have now is starting to have display problems but it is under warrenty. I will get it service because they make you but I would never,never recommend this product.

Excellent microwave, this is my 2nd one.

I had one of these microwaves and it lasted me for several years. I read some of the reviews of this product and many people complained about that it only lasted for two years. That has not been my experience, it worked for six years. I have two young children so I use it A LOT! That's why when the touch pad stopped working, I ordered another one.

This replaced an older Dacor model that had finally given out. This unit fit exactly into the original space using the original trim kit which saved several hundred dollars.

It is very attractive but the display is bright at night. It also plays a series of tones instead of the traditional beep which can be annoying if you don't open the door immediately.

I would recommend but with caution. I really like the microwave. It has many functions and several easy ways to heat things quickly with a push of a button or two. I was replacing the same oven which had only been 2 years old. The control panel went out. I noticed with someone else's review that she was replacing hers for the same reason on a 3 year old oven. That concerns me. So time will tell. Let's hope the problems have been fixed in the newer models.

I love the microwave, but am replacing the same product in an earlier incarnation. The electronic motherboard crashed so I had no display in my earlier microwave. I hope this unit gives me more than 3 years [...]. My Dacor range has had similar electronic glitches, and I am spending [...] to replace its electronics. This does not create brand loyalty. I would heve used another brand if the unit was not built in.
