Top Load Washing Machines

People love the convenience of top load washers. There's no doubt that top load washing machines are easier to load than front loading machines. Most models handle bigger loads too. Combine those great features with the lower price of many top loading washers and it's easy to see why these machines are a popular choice to get clothes clean. Top load washers are available with agitators and impellers. If you're unfamiliar with these types of washers, read on.

Agitators vs Impellers

Busy households need to clean a lot of clothes in a given week. Singles and couples, maybe not as much, but whatever your clothes washing needs, Abt has top load washing machines to match. We stock them in many colors, sizes, and load capacities, but the first choice to make is between agitator or impeller models. Here's what they are and what they do: Agitators - Top load washing machines clean clothes in two different ways. Machines with agitators have a central post with either spindles or fins running vertically up the sides. This post twists back and forth while the wash basket rotates causing clothes to rub against it. This motion loosens dirt and breaks down stains. These machines use more water than impeller models but also have become more efficient over the years. Impellers - On the other hand, machines with impellers use either a cone, wheel, fin, or disc which sits low in the wash basket. Impellers clean clothes by spinning them against each other. These machines use less water yet still provide a thorough cleaning. Since there's no post in the center, you can also wash bigger loads in this type of appliance.

I was very happy with my air frying rack and the quick delivery. I wasn't aware of all the different items Abt offers when I ordered, but now that I am, they will be one of my go-to's for other things.
