The product looks great, and it's performance seems good (nothing particularly notable about it, but I only really notice bad microwave performance).

The dial takes a bit of getting used to, and while it helps the visual, I'm not sure if it's the most pragmatic. It takes a bit of extra time to set it to the right number (I often overshoot, and have to slow down in the range); and it also takes a bit to get to relatively higher times ~ 7:00 minutes or so.

Nonetheless, since I don't use microwaves so frequently, form over function is fine -- and as mentioned, the function seems good for what matters (cooking).

We had a little whirlpool microwave that we bought specifically because it had a dial instead of buttons and we always loved it, so I was happy to find another microwave with the same design. Unfortunately, not as much effort went into perfecting the controls as the whirlpool. For instance, the whirlpool accomplished the same thing with less buttons. To start the timer you could just spin the dial and after a few seconds it would start counting down on its own. With the GE you have to push start. Just silly picky things like that. The only really annoying thing is that you can't use the timer while you are cooking something in the microwave (again, something our whirlpool could do). But other than that, we have been very happy with it. I'm partial to dials, so of course I like that feature. Someone else commented that the stainless steel exterior is bluish in color. That is not true. It comes wrapped in a transparent blue film that you have to remove, then it's normal color.

I am amazed at how cool this microwave is for the cost. I am a high-end kitchen designer and have bought or spec'd dozens of microwaves. This is right up there with the best of them as far as function and style are concerned. In fact I can't think of another microwave at any price that is this eye-poppingly attractive. That's why I chose it for our showroom kitchen. People cannot believe how little I paid for it and when they learn it is a GE you should see the look on their faces. A few of my customers, who can afford a lot more, are strongly considering it. Cudos to GE.

Great looking, very modern style. Works great. The only drawback is that if you really like setting your timer and power settings by push button, and having a few more automatic settings (one-touch for a certain type of food), U may need to think again.

I was a bit skeptical of the dial versus the more familiar push button-style power panel, but it's a breeze to use and does the job beautifully. I was able to melt my expensive gourmet chocolates on 50% power without a problem. I love the convenience of making really great food fast!

This microwave is stylish and sophisticated, plus very easy to use. You can't tell in the picture, but the entire thing is stainless steel. Except the color of the stainless steel on the sides and top is sort of a green-blue color (more green than blue). This could be a great piece of information for someone looking for the right piece in their kitchen. I really like this unit, both the way it looks and all the features of simplicity.

Really have only used it for basic warming up/reheating, but have loved it so far. Turn dial is so easy, convenient and very easy to adjust to from being used to punching buttons for decades. Compared with the Sharp microwave this replaced, which was the same capacity, this microwave seems to heat much more evenly and quickly. It has been a great purchase. We have had it over a month now, and the only negative thing I can say about it is that the display panel is difficult to read, as compared to our previous microwave. The timer dial is a nice feature, but there are no numeric keys, so you cannot key in an exact length of time. Took us a little while to get used to, but we are very happy with the performance, features and stylish look of this microwave.

Overall, I like the knob interface.

Annoyances:
- can't autocook popcorn w/o burning it.
- would like 5 sec knob intervals at first
- to set different power-levels, need to push pwr over and over and over...
- Fan changed with a ticking sound after first month (I think it's going to die soon).

Overall a good buy. Very nice looking, compact unit. The stainless is a little tough to keep clean, but it looks great when it is. For a small microwave, it is still pretty powerful. The only downside I've noticed is that it does have quite a bit of uneven heating (which is pretty standard for microwaves in general).

I bought this microwave to match my new Stainless Steel Appliances and got rid of my old very small microwave. I really like this microwave oven. First of all it looks very nice in the kitchen. It works very well too. Great for de-frosting and re-heating. Very powerfull even heating. I like to make coffee with half milk and half water(both cold) in a mug. It just boils it in exact two minutes. The boiling is not sudden as with my old microwave.
If you are looking to buy an inexpensive, good looking, powerful microwave, this is the one for you!
