Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid Stainless Steel Microwave Oven:

Nice unit. Not the best money can buy, but it is Stainless and ABT had a nice sale going on. I needed a Built-In microwave and purchased this along with the trim kit. Only disappointing thing is that the display does not match my other appliances and the trim kit stainless steel does not match the microwave stainless steel. In hindsight I probably should have purchased the more expensive KitchenAid, but this one does everything I need.

This is the second KitchenAid microwave we've owned, and the previous unit lasted nearly ten years. Simple to use and powerful--perhaps too powerful for popcorn on the auto setting (older unit did a little bet better but was about 100 Watts lower in power). Overall a great choice.

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid Stainless Steel Microwave Oven:

Needed a microwave to fit in an 18" deep cabinet and also one with a built-in trim kit available. This fit the bill perfectly. Slightly smaller interior than I expected, but it's the best I could do to fit my cabinet. Quiet operation, though I keep thinking I hear the carousel tray rattle a little. Recommend this item.

Service & Delivery comments:

ABT shipped this the next day and I could not believe how fast this arrived. Have bought from ABT before and am extremely pleased with the prices and shipping. Highly recommend.

Big Inside, Tidy outside

Cons:
Confusing Display
Best Uses:
Frozen Food, Leftovers, Popcorn
Describe Yourself:
Gourmet Cook
Primary use:

Bottom Line:

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid Stainless Steel Microwave Oven:

This is an excellent microwave with good capacity in a very neatly sized footprint. The sensor cooking feature works, but it's a little tough to learn. Once mastered, this oven figures it out for you. I've had the best reheated meals ever from this unit. The doorlatch mechanism could operate more smoothly. Once you figure out where to push exactly on the release, and on the door to close it works just fine. This area could be a problem for some, but on balance the oven's abilities and capacity make it a keeper

I installed the microwave myself (and the new oven too). The first time my wife used the microwave oven she set a potato in it and pressed "auto sensor cook". The display immediatly said "BK POTATO". Her mouth dropped open. She was less excited when she realized baked potato just happened to be the first food in the list, but the look on her face was priceless!

Fits well
By JamesvilleNYFamilyVerified Purchaser from Jamesville, NY on 10/9/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Quiet
Cons:
Difficult to Clean
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid Stainless Steel Microwave Oven:

Even though I checked "difficult to clean" it is a problem inherent with all stainless steel appliances. We have 5 kids running through the house, and all stainless steel appliances show finger prints.

We wanted a full-size microwave, but we had some space limitations. This unit fit perfectly.

Service & Delivery comments:

ABT was excellent. It arrived on time, and I was kept up-to-date via UPS e-mails.

I especially like the "dual boxing". They sent the original kitchenaid box packed inside a larger ABT box with plenty of packing material.

I just recently made an additional purchase from ABT that is in the process of shipping now. I would definitely buy from them again.

Can't add enough praise about the power in this baby Always thought that my previous microwave oven (an older Amana) was fast, but this unit is incredible! Very even cooking thanks to the steady turntable. The text displays are a bit difficult to get used to, but the settings really are designed to tackle the most common uses; and it's smart to learn the settings. (Popcorn has been perfect every time using the pre-programmed setting!) Very pleased with this oven!

Highly recommend Abt for swift, safe deliveries.

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid Stainless Steel Microwave Oven:

We bought this microwave to replace an older model that is no longer made and it was a perfect fit and has more power. The old trim kit fit perfectly which was a plus. We use the microwave mainly for reheating and sometimes defrosting. The power really heats food fast. The controls are really easy and I like the sensor cook feature--just punch in the preset categories and the microwave times the cooking or reheating for you. It also had a really cool defrost feature where you punch in the preset types of food and the weight and the microwave times the defrost and lets you know when it's time to turn the food over.

Overall a fine microwave and great buying experience.

Service & Delivery comments:

The microwave was delivered quickly as promised. They had great customer service that handled a small issue I had when the unit was delivered. Overall this was a great experience.

So far, so good. We've had this unit for three weeks and have used most of the features. The auto defrost feature does a good job for a microwave. It is very quiet and the stainless steel front cleans up very easily.

Pros:

This is one of the best designed countertop microwaves I've seen. The unit can be used as either a countertop appliance or when purchased with a kit can be built into to your microwave cabinet. There are several options available to heat up frozen food, popcorn, and prepared meals. The inside of the oven is large enough to cook dinner for an entire family. A minor flaw is the glass tray which doesn't turn smoothly when in operation. Overall, great value for the money.

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid Stainless Steel Microwave Oven:

Bought this unit because it was basically the only one that fit properly into a microwave cabinet in my new kitchen. [...]

Have not used it much yet but have used it for what a microwave is supposed to do: reheat leftovers, reheat coffee and make some frozen dinners. etc.

It has worked very well. My coffee normally needed 30+ seconds to reheat but after just 30 seconds it is VERY hot.

An Amy's enchilada that says 2-4 minutes on the directions would need almost 4 in the old microwave...now it is about 2.5.

The looks of this are very nice. It is easy to use as well.

I highly recommend this product.

This microwave is worth every penny! To cook one or two potatoes, you just push COOK, it decides how long. If you forget to press a button, it tells you in a digital readout! I love that part!! To heat a plate of food, you just tell it to reheat, and again, it decides how long. BUY IT --- You will not be sorry. You'll be asking yourself, "Why did I wait so long?"

By AnnetteVerified Purchaser from Fort Smith on 9/18/2006
Pros:
Compact, Easy To Clean, Powerful, Quiet, Simple Display, Versatile
Cons:
Unstable Tray

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid Stainless Steel Microwave Oven:

This was purchased to replace the same unit from KitchenAid that was built in and simply "died" after nine years. It was the exact fit for the previous space. Everything about the same except the turntable tray is somewhat less smooth. Unit also not as 'solid' as the old one. No problems with cooking, just as the older model had none until failure.
