I bought this convection oven/microwave so that I could have something to cook with during a kitchen remodel. So far, after about 2 weeks, I have been pleased with the performance and features.

I have used the convection oven to bake scones and whole chicken successfully. I used the microwave to make a pasta sauce that I normally make on a burner on the stove and it turned out great. I found that, although things took a little longer in the convection oven, it is effective. I like the looks and finish of both the inside and outside. There is a rather large (about 6") protrusion off the back of the unit that prevents it from being put directly against a wall. This is a good thing because the exterior does get very warm to hot during convection baking. The manual states that there must be 4-inches of clearance around the unit for ventilation so don't expect it to be crammed into a tight space.

So far it has been OK to clean up, a little worse than a typical microwave because some things can get baked on more than what is typical for a microwave when using the convection oven. I am envisioning this as a small second oven in the new kitchen that could be used in lieu of a real double oven (for which we do not have the space).

All in all, I would recommend the unit for a small versatile cooking accessory that won't put too much of a dent in your budget.
