Was hesitant about getting this because it had a dial instead of a numeric pad. Not an issue at all. Very easy to use. Will say my previous Panisonic was more powerful, but this one seems to heat more evenly. And the stainless steel finish is very sharp. All in all, very happy with it.

A good product -- heats food quickly; easy to use. On the first several uses, there was an electrical-burning smell, but that has disspipated and there have been no further problems.

Absolutely fabulous microwave for defrosting. No more browned edges. The interior height is a little low. It can fit my tall thermal coffee mug, but it requires a little manuvering. Overall, very happy and would buy it again.

Please note, I've only used this a few times. I cannot comment on reliability.
I bought the Panasonic because it was highly rated by the leading independent consumer testing group (you know the one), and because it had inverter technology. It works! Constant, even heating. Great for defrosting and melting butter. Why else would you need a microwave?
The dial takes getting used to. The interface is user-friendly. I would give it 5-stars, but like I stated at the beginning, I don't know how long it will hold up.

Moved this fall and needed to purchase a microwave for the new place. Thought this design was interesting and the reviews and critiques good.

Design is indeed attractive, but the key thing a microwave needs to do is heat. This one says that it uses such wonderful technology that heats evenly and will not result in "cooked" spots during defrost - sorry but it's just not true. I still have to watch closely or my beef/chicken are cooked on the outside edge.

Beyond that, my chief compliant is just in utility. Little things like the fact that there's no beverage setting that I've ever been able to discern. But my key one is the primary functions are on the dial itself. So to make a baked potato for example you need to hit the cook button and then spin the dial to number 8. How do you know that it's number 8? Well you could creep slowly up the dial one by one and wait (one by one) for the LCD display to tell you. The manual probably has a chart somewhere that maybe you could post near the microwave. Or you can take my path and memorize the settings you use the most and then resort to the "creep" method as needed. A cheat sheet (in a protected, food-and-microwaves-can't-hurt-it medium) inside the door would be a big help.

Anyway, it's attractive, relatively spacious, and does the job. I just expected a bit smoother experience given the write-ups, and certainly given their advertising expected them to be able to defrost meat without attempting to cook it.

All the great reviews are true...this microwave is fast, easy to use, and very stylish. The stainless finish is high quality and sets it apart as a high end product. The only thing I would change is to increase the size of the drive that rotates the glass plate, as the plate comes off the three-pronged turn-drive pretty easily. Other than that, great product.

Everyone at my house loves this microwave. Were a little skeptical at first about the dial control but once you use it a couple of times, it's great. The auto cook settings I've used for sweet potatoes, popcorn, reheat, defrost - all worked great. And it is a beautiful thing to look at also.
