[...]Attractive black design and good sized water pan. Main feature of interest was hose connect, but mine works shotty. Sometimes is works fine and then other times I notice the bucket full light and realize that it's not been working. Would like a longer electrical cord since hose connect typically runs the other direction. All in all, a good product - nice looking, not overly loud and great digital features/options.

I use this to keep the humidity down in the summer time in my condo, it works well but it's kind of noisy. It'd be great in a basement or somewhere out of the way like that.

I bought this product to reduce the humidity in our finished basement that is caused by my
sons 3 large aquariums. The thing that caught my interest was how feature rich this product was and the fact that it was sold at a local store. It had features I wanted like room humidity readout, hose connection, auto restart, bucket handle, etc.
I read a lot of reviews and was concerned about the two negative things that most of the humidifiers were getting and that was noise and heat. The LG model was one of the only units I found that listed all their specs, including noise level. The specs say around 50db of noise. I would say the noise level is similar to a box fan on low or medium. This is not a big deal since the rest of the aquarium equipment makes more noise.
The unit does throw out heat but that is the "nature of the beast". Its similar to the heat that a "fridge" puts out.
All in all I am pleased with the product.

Works hard and does its job. Have to wait a couple of minutes after turning off to empty water. Continues to drip for quite awhile so have to clean up water. I use it in a space w/ flooring so not that big a deal. If it were in a carpeted area it would bother me more.

Initially, I purchased a Whirlpool product but it was a little loud and options were not even close to the ones LG has. Digital humidity meter really gives me an idea of the room humidity. The color is great!!!! I bought two, one I keep in the basement and the other one in the laundry room. You can see the results after the first 24 hours of usage.
