The product works well, removing large amounts of moisture from the room. However it is noisy. You wouldn't want to run it when guests are over.

The other drawback, is that unless you can locate the product so it sends the water directly to a sink, the container needs to be emptied twice a day when it's humid outside.

Seems to dehumidify a large basement reasonably well. More quiet than my previous dehumidifier, but that unit was rather older. I have this new model configured to drain through a hose to a small hole in the basement floor. The water storage tray, however, occasionally registers as full, and shuts off the dehumidifier, when I would expect it to continue to run and drain through the hose to the floor. When I notice this, a slight jostle of the water storage tray kicks the dehumidifier back on.
