Dont expect these to take cooking smoke out of the air but they look good and provide good lite at the cooktop. I didnt feel like getting into putting in the duct work so I got this ductless type. I open up doors when I cook to air out the house. This unit works as expected. I had a 5 year old one and changed it to match the new colors in the kitchen. For the price I would buy it again
