The intense summer sun rays, not to mention the winter snows, in Colorado make protection for fine Weber grills essential. Weber grills are so good that they are worth the extra price--and worth protecting from the elements. Good fit is really important to cover the whole grill, and this cover was made for our Genesis grill. Haven't had it long enough to test durability, but it is obviously made of quality materials. The only thing that concerns me is that the black color (only color available) will absorb a lot of heat. But hey! Grills are for heat! So this should not be a problem.

The grill cover appears to be made as a generic type cover for various models. Original cover was heavy duty and better quality. I'm surprised that Weber would put out a product as such for a higher end grill.

This cover was to replace the original cover from when I purchased my grill and it is SO much BETTER than my last one. Much longer to cover the entire grill and no vent holes where dirt and insects would get in. This cover is MUCH better and I love it.

My old cover was a short one that initially was easy to slap on and left the legs exposed. But as it aged and stiffened, it became more and more difficult to fit over the grill, and to remove. The new one extends to the ground. It takes a bit more effort than the old one did when new, but it fits well. Just realized that it's been so snowy and cold here that I haven't had occasion to remove the cover since I bought it!

Our Weber grill is about six years old and this is the first Weber grill cover we have purchased specifically made for a Weber. It is a heavy duty
cover, fits to the bottom of the grill with velcro tabs on the sides and easy to maintain. Sorry we didn't buy one sooner. I would highly recommend buying one.

The new one doesn't appear anywhere near as durable as the old one and they are the same identical product made by Weber. The last one held up for close to 5 years.
