I have had 2 sets of Weber's ceramic over cast iron grates and they have each rusted in about 1-2 years. I purchased stainless steel hoping for greater longevity. These grates fit perfectly and clean easily so far.

Though hasn't been installed long, does seem to clean easier, heat more evenly, and cook better than the original porcelain grates. Definitely worth getting if your grates need replacing.

I am glad that I purchased these stainless grills. They're not shiney (chrome) so if that's what you're expecting you'll be disappointed. I've used these grills with and without Pam. I highly recommend using Pam. The Pam seems to work better if you pre-spray the grills before putting them into the hot BBQ. These grills do permenantly discolor with heat. So, if you're expecting them to remain looking like new once you've started using them your expectations are unrealistic. After each use I clean them by letting them soak for a bit. I feel these stainless grills work no worse or no better than the original porcelain grills my unit came with. Even so, knowing the stainless will never rust brings me peace of mind. If I had cleaned those grills the way I clean my stainless grills, plus not used scouring blocks, I'd probably still have my porcelain one. Happy BBQ-ing!!

I grill out all the time and this is the first time I have replaced with stainless steel. Sprayed a little PAM Grilling formula and everything has cleaned very well.

Stainless steel grates are a good replacement for the original. They clean easily with a wire brush. They heat up quickly saving me gas and are hot enough sear meats.

10 minutes of preheat on high and these grates clean up quickly with a stainless steel wire brush.

Overall quality is good...my only concern is that the gauge of steel used appears to be a little thinner than I expected. So far, I would recommend this as a good replacement grate for Weber grills.

the stainless grille are probably very durable, Yet I would now opt to buy the porcelain. The porcelain cleans quite nicely. the stainless...well it's stained and food sticks to it .
