I was concerned that after I bought it I found out that they are no longer being made. My question of "why" went unanswered. This still concerns me. If the "kinks" were worked out of it, what are they??? Shouldn't a potential customer be alerted that the machine is no longer made and why?

I would've given this 5 stars except for the noise. While I've heard louder washers, this one is definitely not quiet. Overall very satisfied with the washing machine.

I do approximately 16 to 20 loads of laundry a week.The energy efficient feature of using the least amount of water possible for a load has left me with clothes that don't have enough room to "float around" in the water to agitate and get clean. Clothing is extremely wrinkled. Towels stink!!
It is extremely loud. The only positive I can add is that it does a load quickly, but who cares when it's got all these other issues.

once I got used to putting soap in first then clothes then closing the lid and waiting for the machine to determine water level, I love it! and it really spins the clothes almost dry, reducing dryer time.

Our old Kenmore broke down so we called our salesman at ABT in Chicago. He recommended this machine for our price range.

Whirlpool makes the best quality washing machines in the mid to lower price range (<$500), so we chose this one.

We are very happy with it. The cycle is quick, the clothes are clean and smell great, and the spin cycle really gets the water out and minimizes drying time. Should have bought this thing years ago - all our laundry is done for the first time ever.

shocked at the noise level, two laundry baskets must be three items of light clothing. I can barely fit a canvas laundry bag it machine. Will not not more than two towels at a time. Clothes come out with stains still on them. I am comparing to a 15 year old whirlpool that I now regret not just replacing the clutch, instead of buying a new inferior product. SHOCKED AT NOISE LEVEL.

We've had this washer for a bit over three weeks. That's not long but it does everything it claims to do. We've used it to clean items in all categories. It does a good job with any type of item we wash. A lot of people have noted the "auto load sensing" feature and their concern about not being able to set how much water is used. We've not found a problem with this feature understanding how it works. In fact by checking the output of the water used, we've noticed a significant decrease of water used by this machine compared to our old washer. You just can't lift the lid to "see" what it uses or you automatically cause it to fill to the top. Our washer is in the basement so noise is not a particular issue for us but we didn't hear any significantly louder noise compared to our last machine. Light-colored clothes seem to come out brighter and cleaner with this washer than our previous one. Overall, we're very satisfied with this machine and its a great washer for our home after three plus weeks.

The water sensor eliminates that constant changing of level setting, so every load has adequate water to clean.

Fabulous! Love that the machine 'senses' the amount of water it needs... I am never sure if I am setting the cycles to large (wasting water) or too small (we all know that outcome!). Cleans the clothes nicely. Just a little on the loud side.

I noticed a difference in the cleaning results with this new washer over our old machine. The closes are much brighter and the white closed seem whiter.

We bought the Whirlpool Washer Model WTW57ESVW because we were tired our very noisy 9 year old Maytag. It had a high pitch whine that we could not eliminate no matter what wash cycle we set. Our laundry room is just off the kitchen so we can't get away from washing machine noises. From day one our new Whirlpool washer clanked and groaned as it went thru its washing cycles. [...]Bottom line: If you're looking for a quiet washer, you might not want one of these.

I use these products on a daily basis. Seems quicker than my other washers. Washes well, spins well and is easy to load. Best feature, fabric softener cup which you fill at the beginning and forget about running downstairs during the cycle.

Have noticed it spins so well that sometimes clothes wrinkle. Just have to find the best setting.

Bought this machine because it was "energy saving" meaning water usage. Put in two clothing items (t-shirt and shorts) and 'auto sensing' water feature filled the drum to the very top! For two pieces?? Come on! This machine will waste more water in a single load than I'd overuse in a month if water level was adjustable by the consumer! Also, very, very noisy -can hear machine running through wash, rinse, and spin cycles a floor away.

We put it to the test right away and were pleasantly surprised as to how fast the cycle was and how clean our clothes came out. It's also much quieter than our old washing machine. The drum also will hold a king size comforter and clean it well.
