This is an outstanding receiver. Recent Bluray watching along with the Super Bowl confirmed this to be the right choice.
Connections are easy and very well described in both the manual and the quick setup guide. Assignment of inputs to the receiver was straightforward. However going from there was quite a chore.
The manual has all the information needed but its format and organization makes it difficult to continue with setup and operation.
The best advice is to take a lot of time reading the manual, and then read it again. And probably another time for good measure.

The receiver is excellent, I am using with the Mirage omni speaker system.

I have given four stars because the universal remote control is horrible. I was not able to configure a basic system like Panasonic LCD Television.
