Comments about Yamaha Yamaha CD Recorder:
I have owned the older CDR-HD1300 for four years and love it so much that I decided to purchase the CDR-HD1500 for an additional 200gb of hard disk space..
I use this product both as a music server for my commercial CDs and as temporary storage for over-the-air music recordings which I will archive to CDR in the future.
Setting up the CDR-HD1500 was very easy (it was just as easy with the CDR-HD1300 four years ago).
There is so much this unit can do and it is worth it to take your time reading through the manual and getting familiar with all the various record/playback functions.
What I love most about the HDD is that you can perform all sorts of minidisk-type editing functions. I was a big fan of the minidisk but purchased the 1300 four years ago when I saw that the MD was not going to make it here.
Another great feature is that you can create Albums by selecting tracks from different virtual disks on the HDD. CDRs can be burned from Albums as well as Virtual Disks.
This unit also functions as an excellent CD player on its own. Just load a CD into the tray, press Play and enjoy.
I could go on and on.
A great product from a great manufacturer!
Comments about Yamaha Yamaha CD Recorder:
This recorder works as advertized, but the manual is not as easy to follow as it could be. The directions are unnecessarily complicated. It does faithfully record analog and digital inputs, but I have not yet tried to name the tracks or albums.
