I purchased this to eliminate wires running all over my room to connect the rear speakers. The alternative would have been to drill holes into the floor and run the wires through the basement. I guess I didn't think it through, since there are still wires...just no need to connect to the main unit. But it works great. And it was a breeze to set up.
The item was out of stock when I ordered it and it took a couple of months to come in. I did not receive any update, however, when I sent an e-mail to inquire on the item status, I did get a very prompt and courteous reply. Item arrived a few days later.
