I like the product. It worked fine at first, then the right speakers stoppped working. We went throught the trouble shooting, auto calibration, speaker level and still no solution. There is no phone number to call if all fails.

[...] The system is not a featherweight but unpacking it was very easy. I excepted an RCA cable as a part of the package for connecting the HT-DDW790 to my TV but it wasn't the case. It was not a big deal - it just meant an extra trip[...].The speakers are all "position coded" so I didn't have to worry about which speaker went where. I brought two pairs of speakers stands [...] for the L, R, SL and SR speakers. Setting up the stands and threading the speakers wires through them was actually more time consuming than system installation itself.Auto-calibration is a nifty feature but be warned that the system gets fairly loud in short bursts. This whole process lasts for about 2 or 3 min, so, if you're living in an apartment, this is not something you'd want to do at 10 pm in the night.I'm not particularly fond of any of the movie sound modes like drama etc. some of them have a hollow or a "tin can" effect when you switch between DVDs or change channels.I love the video1 option/axillary input that allows me to connect an mp3 player/laptop or any other analog sound source.I haven't tried out living/larger room scenarios, so I'm not sure how well this would handle different acoustics - I have mine setup for my bedroom and this HTS does a very good job. The bass is ambient and the treble is unremarkable.There are lots of other options included in the systems that I haven't tried out but then again, all I need is an audio system that would handle my DVD player, TV and an external mp3 player/laptop and the HT-DDW790 seems to be more than enough in that aspect.Bottom line: Decent price, Very good sound for a typical room and a host of connectivity features compared to other systems in the price range. I would definitely buy it again.

I use the product solely to listen to music, either on a CD or with my Ipod. I'm very happy with the sound quality, however the volume control is limited. The max volume is really not very loud at all. I have the product in a fairly large space and it's not quite powerful enough. I would recommend it for a small room, but not for a big area.
That said, I do not regret buying the product. For the money, it's excellent. It serves my needs for now and is aesthetically pleasing.
The delivery was incredibly prompt, probably the fastest delivery I've ever experienced. The product arrived in perfect condition, neatly and carefully packed.
