This is a GREAT speaker for its size and price. I use them to complete a 7 speaker surround system and they FILL the room with sound!
As always with ABT, delivery was very prompt and the product is always in good condition.

You will not be disappointed with this line of speakers. I use these for my surrounds, also have the 1000's and the 2000 for the center. The 800's sound great for a small speaker. If you are considering buying this, stop reading reviews and do it - trust me. ABT is awesome [...]

I bought these speakers to complete my home theater setup which includes the DT ProCenter 1000, ProMonitor 800s all around, and the ProSub 800.
The sound quality here is great, just as long as you have a supporting subwoofer (always necessary if you want a small footprint), and they don't break the bank.
We have a small room where we set these up. Not only do they look great, especially on the matching DT ProStands, the sound is nice and full (make sure you set them and your receiver up properly though).
I would definitely recommend these to a friend, with a small to medium sized room anyway.
Why 4 stars instead of 5? Hey, there's always better if money is no limit. But don't take that as a knock on these...

I have the complete 7.1 Pro 800 system, which includes the ProSub 800 and ProCenter 1000. The best sound is produced with HD Audio sources, such as Dobly TruHD or DTS HD Master Audio. Both the 5.1 and 7.1 variations are excellent

I use these in a full Def Tech ProCinema 800 5.1 system, powered by an Onkyo 605, with a Sony 52 inch W-series LCD TV. Its a great combo. The speakers are a good match for the quality of the picture, and are strong enough musically to replace my old floor standing Bose speakers. They have a clean full sound with superb clarity and definition of instruments, vocals and spatial positioning. They work well as a full spectrum system with the Prosub and center speaker. These are high quality products.
I had a very positive experience with ABT. Robert was very knowledgeable and gave me a great deal on the 800 series combo. They came in a few days to my front door in perfect condition.

I purchased these speakers as my rear surround speakers. They're great sounding, clear and responsive. Probably noy enough power to use as front left and right speakers unless you have a small room. They are easy to mount with the Definitive Technology wall brackets.

They don't mount well to the Pro 80 stands and to my knowledge a stand has not been made for the Pro 800.
Also, I prefer a matte finish over the 'piano black' gloss that they come in.

These speakers are great. I combined them with a Denon AVR1707 receiver and the Def Tech PS60BK sub and could not be happier with the quality of sound coming from this system. The speakers have accurate sound reproduction in the mids and highs. Not much bass but that's why I purchased the subwoofer as well. Very happy with my purchase.
