This function really well and tracks even on warped records. I finally got some of my great old music out of a box in the garage onto my Ipod. The Audacity software could be a little simpler to use but it still does a good job.

This was great to reopen the boxes of records that we had stored for 20 years and rediscover them. The one thing I did not like was the fact that you have to use "I-tunes". I would rather the software export it to your default player. I now have to have three music management tools installed: the one Microsoft preinstalls; the one I use; and I-tunes for the turntable.

Converting vinyl LPs to MP3 works great. Use of Audacity works fine. Initial set up was a little confusing at first but not real hard to work through it. The features of Audacity works great. Main ones are the editing features such as noise reduction, normalizing and crack/pop reduction. The zoom feature allows good editing at any level. The TTUSB10 is a great looking and stable turntable to be mostly plastic. The TTUSB10 was very easy to set up out of the box. The large start/stop button is really easy and better than some of the tiny buttons to quickly find when you need to pause real fast between switching LP sides. The only down side I have seen is I would have liked the TTUSD10 to have a headset jack. Overall I would give a thumbs up on this turntable for converting vinyl to MP3.

I'm using this product to eliminate my LP's by converting them to CD's. I will also do the same with my tape cassettes. I will probably do fewer than planned as each lp requires full time monitoring. Must set the needle, start the software and monitor until complete and then remove the needle. Frequently occurring problem: Computer hangs, but record continues playing, find I must stop the software and either start over completely or at the beginning of the track that froze temporarily.
If you already have a record player that has line outs, instead of this record player, I would recommend getting a Behringer USA202 USB audio interface.
The item arrived within two days of my order.

Some assembly required but no big deal. Was up and running in short time. The tone arm lift and parking detent looks a little flimsy and could have been constructed stronger. Getting balance and good tracking took a little adjustment before I got it working, but nothing of a problem. Sound quality was good. Price was best on the web [...]
