Comments about Sony Sony Turntable:

I recently decided to purchase a new turntable, but I wanted to make sure to do enough research beforehand to make sure that the one I got would be one that lasts and is free of complications (plus I needed something in my price range). I found a lot of great reviews on this particular turntable and decided to purchase it. Unfortunately, I didn't do enough research. It turns out that several people had the exact same problem I had: a manufacturing defect in the motor that causes your records to sound out of pitch. If it wasn't for this manufacturing defect, I would say that this is a great turntable, but due to the amount of people who've had this problem, I would say you are taking a gamble on purchasing it. If everything works, then you lucked out and got a great, beginner table. If it has the same problem as mine, you're in for a headache.[...] I upgraded to the Denon DP300-F [...] and couldn't be happier now. SHOPPING WITH ABT IS THE WAY TO GO.

Comments about Sony Sony Turntable:

Very good as expected for a sony; better construction than some of the Garrard's I've had in past. It would be nice to have the auto return feature, but I suspect Sony's is targeting the high end crowd that looks down on that type of thing.

Sony PSLX350H Turntable great quality

Comments about Sony Sony Turntable:

This is a quality turntable at a very good price. I would not recommend it for a professional DJ due to the belt drive ( direct drives are better for that function ), but anyone who wants a quality turntable for personal use, I would highly recommend this product. A stylus upgrade to a Shure M44-7 can have most of your vinyl sounding louder than your CDs. Highly recommended for a person who wants a personal use turntable of better than mediocre quality for a decent price.

Great product..........[...]
By RoderunrVerified Purchaser from Raleigh, NC on 7/23/2008
Bottom Line:

Comments about Sony Sony Turntable:

If purchaseing this product to burn CD's from LP's bear in mind that the arm does NOT retract automatically at the end of play. An inconvenience if your turntable and PC are not close to each other.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was much sooner than expected. Product in perfect condition. Appreciate the service.

Can't beat the value!
By wanderingphilVerified Purchaser from Gettysburg, PA on 7/13/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy Controls, Easy To Set Up, Great Sound
Best Uses:
Basic Systems
Describe Yourself:
Musically Inclined, Practical
Bottom Line:

Comments about Sony Sony Turntable:

I bought this turntable when my old turntable bit the dust. I still have a sizeable, but shrinking LP collection, some of which are not available on CD. I have used turntables for 40 years and this is probably the best one yet. I am not an audiophile, but I do appreciate quality (especially when it comes at such a great price).) It took me about an hour to unpack, set up and start playing records. The set up part is fairly easy: attaching a belt and setting up the tracking weight, etc. I've only used it 15 hours so far, but everything about this unit suggests that it is totally solid and should last a long time. Don't settle for a cheaper turntable; this is the want you want!
