Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid KBDS250:

KitchenAid is a great company and this batch run garbage disposal is no exception. Largest volume unit I could find, and largest motor. Grinds stuff up in seconds. They're a real step up from the Insinkerator's we had in our kitchen.

Service & Delivery comments:

ABT's was amazing. I ordered these units on 12/31, and they were at my door 1/3 even with the holidays. Will definitely be using ABT's again.

Thanks guys.

Pros:

Cons:
Not that quiet, Sink doesn't drain well
Describe Yourself:

Heavy; took me 2 hours to install (second one I've done). With drain cap in place, sink doesn't drain well. Big. Takes up a lot of space under sink. Beyond that, very satisfied.

Over 90% of garbage disposals sold are continuous feed but batch feed units are inherently safer and work very well. It has always been my choice

Wouldn't buy anything else!
By Lovely LouiseVerified Purchaser from Bath, MI on 1/8/2007
Pros:
Durable, Powerful
Best Uses:
Large Kitchens, Small Kitchens

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid KBDS250:

Have used the Kitchen Aid batch-feed disposal for over 35 years! First bought it as a "child proof" option to protect our young children and have bought it as a "repeat" twice since then, and wouldn't switch to anything else! Love it! Keep up the good work.

Great Disposal!
By Jim DVerified Purchaser from Chicago, IL on 11/27/2006
Pros:
Powerful, Quiet
Best Uses:
Large Kitchens, Small Kitchens

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid KBDS250:

This is simply the best disposal unit I have ever had. It is so quiet that you don't even know that it is running. I did not think that I would like the batch switch (you use the drain plug to turn it on and off) but after using it one time I would not go back to the wall switch or continuous feed. Great machine!

Great product &price[...]!
By JohnBVerified Purchaser from South Elgin, IL on 11/23/2006
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Clean, Powerful, Quiet
Best Uses:
Large Kitchens, Small Kitchens

Comments about KitchenAid KitchenAid KBDS250:

After my last KitchenAid Disposer died (after only 25 years) I re-installed the newer KBDS250. [...] I was able to remove the old one and install the new one in about an hour and thirty minutes - most of the time being spent in removing the old one. The new disposer is as quiet as any disposer I have used, and I have always preferred the batch-feed operation for safety's sake.
