This product was purchased to replace a 15 year old KitchenAid 1/3 hp unit which ended ended its life with a dead motor. This Whirlpool replacement installed perfectly without having to modify the plumbing. It was an upgrade from 1/3 to 1/2 hp. Although it is quieter, it is not silent which is fine with us. Time to replace was less than an hour. I just needed to pick up some plumbers putty from Lowes. BTW - ABT was EXCELLENT to order through!!

this was a direct replacement same make/model of the unit installed in my new home when I purchased it less than 5 years ago. old unit was still working, but began to leak from the bottom and had become much noisier than when it was new. New unit lined up, fit perfectly. Whole job including wiring electrical took less than 30 minutes.

Installed the Whirpool GC2000 to replace the old one which broke. House is 12 years old, so I can assume this product lasts 12 years. I've never installed anything like this, but to save money I purchased this on line and did it myself. The hard part was removing the old one, but eventually I just used the installation instructions, in reverse. No problem. Took me about two hours and I only spilled one drop of blood. For me, that's not bad. We're pleased with the results. Works great. [...] I was able to get the old one out and the new one installed before my son got home from school. Here's to another 12 years. As expected.
This is the first time I had ordered from ABT, and am now a lifelong customer!
Their price was the best and they had free shipping - which for a disposal is nothing to sneeze at.
They double boxed and used lots of cusioning it so that it arrived undamaged. They shipped it immediately I it got here as quick as UPS could make it (3 days)

Breeze to install, although needed 4" extension piece because was replacing a smaller 1/3 HP unit. Powerful, quiet, very nicely constructed and directions were excellent. Love it... just sorry I didn't replace sooner. Would highly recommend to family, friends and coworkers.

I had the 1/3 hp model of this same unit and it cracked down the side after 3 years. I don't know if that is a common thing in WP disposals, but decided to go with 1/2 power model to see if that helps. The WP disposal works great and I'd recommend. May change my mind if this unit dies after 3 years.
This was very good customer service, would order from them again.

Just the right size for our kitchen. Even grinds up chicken bones without any problem, unlike our previous disposal. We have stainless steel sinks, but do not notice any unusual loud noise.
Delivery was much quicker than promised and arrived in A-1 condition. Would not hesitate to order from your company again!

I was replacing the same garbage disposal that was 10 yrs old. I do not use the disposal on a regular basis but it has held up pretty good over time. It could be quieter, but for the cost, it was good enough for me. Fairly easy to install.
