We replaced an older model of this compactor that had stripped the plastic compactor screws that compressed the trash. This model seems to be a bit more sturdy in constuction. Time will tell.

I love that we no longer have to "see" or smell the trash can. The compactor looks nice and does a great job reducing our trash output. This model is particularly strong, as it crushes anything we put in there. It is somewhat noisy, but nothing obnoxious. It also installs very easily. I would recommend this product to anyone who is seeking an affordable, reliable compactor.
