The TV started right up out of the box. Easy installation, and set up. The picture quality is one of the best I've seen. Sound quality is average but not really a con with a home theater system. Will always buy plasma now.
Customer service was outstanding. I ordered the TV and found a lower price the next day, they refunded my account within 2 days. Shipping was extremely fast and came in perfect condition. I had a pleasure doing business with Abt.

I use this set in my bedroom and it's just the right size. I had to replace a Philips 32" 16x9 tube which I dearly loved and this is about as close as it gets. With a bit of tweaking the picture is great. The sound is not so great and a SMART remote should be included.

I really like this TV. Accurate color, good saturation and the black levels are excellent. There is no evidence of moire patterns that I have seen in some lcds. The sound is OK and theremote works well. The setup could be better. The internet connection is pretty lame. The two news channel available are in German only! No Netflix yet[@] Youtube and Picasa, Skype, and weather are avaiable also. What I dislike the most is the frame that surrounds the picture and it surprised me that Panasonic hasn't updated the look of its boxes. LG,Samsaung and Sony make a better looking box but the Panny plasmas are still "best" in picture quality .
My delivery was prompt but arrived damaged. Should have checked TV before signing for it. Called ABT and matter was handled promptly. Broken tv picked up and new one shipped by common carrier. It took longer but arrived with no damage.

I tried the highly-rated Samsung B750, and am glad I exchanged it for this Panny!The colors are far truer to life, and the motion is less 'cartoon-ish'.I just watched the Bluray version of Avatar - the blacks, the movement, the depth of view, and colors were magnificent.I recommend this set very highly.My only negative are that the sound is not great (will remedy w/external speakers), and the menu system could be a bit more user friendly w/r/t shortcuts.If you buy one, check out the users thread on[@] for guidance on the best calibration.

I use this in my living room home theater. My living room is relatively small, so I chose a smaller TV, I actually downgraded in size from a 46" LCD. My living room has only one window, so it is somewhat darker than most. This being said, I know this TV would work in a more naturally-lit room.
The picture quality and color quality on this TV is excellent. I am very impressed with the TCP42G25, Blu-Ray and HD content is AWESOME. So far, after a week, I can not find anything to gripe about (and I am picky about these things)
Only downside are the speakers. Of course, they are just fine for the normal user.
