After first use (vegetables marinated in italian dressing), a dark brown residue was baked on the basket. After soaking in soapy water for an hour, I scoured with brillo pad for a half hour , but most of the brown residue remained. After second use (vegetables lightly coated with olive oil), there was additional brown redidue built up. Another half hour scouring with little improvement. I haven't used it since!

Needs better handles but otherwise better than others I've used. My grilled vegetables came out great!

Use it to grill vegetables & kabobs. The Weber grill pan & vegetable basket are essential tools for the avid griller who cooks entire meals on the grill. When it is 90 plus degrees outside, one doesn't need to heat to the kitchen. Because of the slotted design, vegetables cook evenly & quickly even at low heat. The basket is light & the handles make it easy to remove from the grill & take to the kitchen. Works really great with kabobs & replaces the need to steam vegetables. Best to use with low heat, this basket is awesome.
