This light is fantastic. No more nighttime grill guessing. Auto on and off by lifting the grill lid or closing. Can't ask for better functionality. You might want to consider mounting 2 at a time to really light up your life... or.. umm... grill.

The grill handle light solves a problem I've always had when cooking at night. Finally I don't need to bring a flashlight with me to see what I am doing and how far the food has cooked. It installs very easily. Not sure on the life of the batteries as I have only used it a few times. Anyway you slice it, it provides the light you need. I am just sorry it took me so long to get it.

I have only used the light three times so I can't comment on battery life, but it installed easily, fit great and functions fine.
I have learned many lessons about how grilled foods "look" in darkness as opposed to when they make it to the table. I tend to grill things by sight as much as by time, especially things slathered in sugary sauces. I have burned many a BBQ coating by squinting and thinking it looked perfect.
This little light helps immensely, but like the patio lights on my house, can actually make things worse for super-smokey foods. I let the smoke clear and try not to move foods around until I get a good look.
Regardless, it beats a flashlight duck-taped to my head or coaxing my wife to shiver her way out on a 15 degree night to hold a light for a few seconds while I assess and flip my masterpiece.

Product arrived quickly. I like the idea that it is attached directly to the grill; however, the area that is lit is rather small. Perhaps a brighter light bulb would expand the coverage area.
