This is the fastest GPS I've used, in terms of calculating routes and keeping up with traffic maneuvers. The screen is extremely clear, and the view automatically zooms to a [usually] appropriate level for the current maneuver.
The voice activation is hit and miss. It works reasonably well in most of the US with English street names. Try to ask it directions to a French restaurant or a street with a Spanish name, however, and you'll be back to the keyboard.
I brought the machine to Argentine, where the voice commands are basically useless. It simply doesn't recognize Spanish street names when spoken. When I change it to Spanish, it responds that most of the voice menu commands are no longer available, and it doesn't do any better with the Spanish names. Same for native speakers as well as gringos.
My only other quibble is that they've lost the "type a name" function for submenus. It's available only at the main menu level for Points of Interest, so whatever name you type will search through airports, service stations, shops, restaurants, etc. rather than just the category you want.
All in all this is an excellent machine. With improvements to its language capabilities it could be splendid.

I love this GPS (now). First one had very very cranky touch screen,practically unusable, so ABT replaced. Same problem with replacement. Called Garmin/they helped me connect to computer and fixed problem very easily. So call garmin if concerned.Occasionally says something is where it isn't(was trying to find school for ballgame and it said the school was there but nothing but high rock cliff/had to go on and find it by asking. Also told me a dept store was out in a housing area (several times over).But hoping updates might solve, don't know yet.Otherwise I can't recommend highly enough. It's pricey but I think worth it.So far garmin service is great [...]

Traffic routing is great. I've been using a Garmin IQue for over 10 years. It would always send me through the city rather than around. Traffic through the city move 20MPH but is posted as 55MPH. Around is always faster. Now with traffic routing the GPS knows to go around.It was really easy to get started. Powered on and did several searches and routes right away.Trip plan is great. I have a 2700 mile 5 stop trip in the trip plan that we will use in 2 weeks. I look forward to the first long trip with it.I don't like suction cup mounts. They take time to move between vehicles and often loose grip and drop unit. The friction mount is great. Went through a couple 270 turns and it didn't move.Decided to connect to Garmin and download free map upgrade. It took about 5 hours :( Thought free lifetime map updates was included but it is another $90

It is compact, really thin with large screen,
But the touch screen is difficult in places, especially the top. Takes multiple hard pushes. Returned first one and second is just the same.
will give different routes to same place and says addresses are right here when it may just be a large rocky wall on side of road. Actual address can be a mile or more away. This has happened several times when trying to find schools where grandson is playing sports. It helps but is not infallible.

I like it, but there are a few problems.
I have had 2 and both have stubborn touch screens. Numerous hits and hard pressure are necessary on some areas of screen while others are fine.
It seems to use different routes going and coming sometimes.
Told me a school I was going to was right there and there was nothing there but a wall of rock.
Seems inconsistent.

Easy to install and use. Voice navigation worked as expected. I couldn't believe how easily I could redirect where I wanted to go using voice navigation and how 100% of the time the Garmin worked flawlessy with my commands. With no manual I was easily able to navigate the many features within this device. It is very intuitive and easy to use.
