Installed radio was replacing my old dead radio. Installation was as easy as remove old, insert new. Both products used the same installation bezel (marine installation behind splashguard in center console).'
Recently removed radio and found corrosion starting in rear left corner of radio. Center console is watertight, but humidity is very high. Hopefully the conformal coating on the pcb will add to the longevity of the radio...
Haven't really done much with the radio except listen to fm broadcast and listened to a commercial cd.

This is a replacement for a non-Marine Sony. So far it has performed excellently. I have mainly used the tuner in conjuction with a Monster FM transmitter attached to my I-Pod and the sound is crystal. But I have tested all its features and all worked great. The display is terrific, except it is a bit too bright, even under a smoked glass(plastic)cover, would like to be able to adjust that.

We were extremely pleased when we received our Sony Marine Radio/CD Player. The digital display can be read easily even in full daylight. It was a snap to install and sounds great!!! The player offers many options.
