its nice to have a remote but when your sterring wheel turns fast as your hand slides around the wheel and the remote catches your hand it hurts
so not very ideal

A very good remote. Helps you get to the phone menu easily and you can hang up a call without touching the screen. I would recommend.

I got one for AVIC-Z1, worked like nothing else. Then I used it for my AVIC-D3, works there too. Just that bluetooth won't function via this remote on the D3. Everything else works with no hesitation. I love it for what it does with both the units.

Almost didn't buy this but glad I did

My AVIC-Z2 installer said this product didn't work very well. I'm glad I didn't pay attention. This worked perfectly. The only issue is when the sun is rising/setting and right behind you. If it is reflecting on the head unit the remote doesn't register.

If you have AVIC-Z1 this remote is a must. Great function on this remote. You can us the PAC to wire your OEM remote steering wheel but you will not have the function like this one. Must have product.
