[...]The amp is paired with a JL audio 10 inch sub and they hit pretty hard. Very pleased with this set-up and the amp looks like it should be around for a long time; good contruction.
Comments about Alpine Alpine V-Power Series Mono Power Amplifier:
I intsalled this amp under the driver's seat to power two Kicker CVR 10s in a ported Kicker box (which can handle 800 watts RMS). The amp can really make the subs hit. I havent had time to fully tune the amp and subs to get the best sound. Even with the gain and X-over at factory, the amp can really push the subs hard. It really helps if you run the full 4v to the amp, it will help to deepen the sound. The amp really performs well with this input voltage. The amplifier is light, with a good heat sink that both performs well and looks good. Alpine really did a good job with this amp. So far I have only had the system together for under a month, the sound is great and I'm sure it will continue to do so.
I wish I had measured the clearance underneath my seat before I installed it, with a cap and wiring it barely fits. There is plenty of room for heat to run off, but the width is almost too much. I had to adjust it to fit right under my seat without it hitting the amp. I was a little disapointed as well when I opened the box and saw that Alpine didn't include a birth certificate with this amp. I'm sure it produces the full 300/500 watts advertised, but it would have been nice to have a little token of that. Other than that, I can't see any problems with it.
This amp provides plenty of power. I would highly reccommend this amp for people who A) have limited space, B) and want to get the most out of thier money. It is a great choice for an easy to use, entry level momo amplifier. You can get really crazy with sub amps, but this is a simple and straightforward approach that I feel really does well. I would reccommend this amplifier to those who are living on a budget and who want good, clean sound from thier system. You can't go wrong with Abt's price and the performance of this amp.
Came on time with quick shipping. Can't beat free either! Good packaging too.

Comments about Alpine Alpine V-Power Series Mono Power Amplifier:
This Alpine V-Series amplifier is an outstanding value! I am currently using it to power a Polk MOMO 15" DVC subwoofer, and it has been performing beautifully so far. Also, it is so compact, I mounted it directly under the driver's seat, with no restriction to the movement of the seat. The controls are easy to get to as well. Great Product!
The delivery was extremely prompt, and the amp came in pristine condition. I have no complaints about ABT...everything worked out great.

Easy to install- just some of the higher bass frequencies aren't as clear as they could be. But, even regarding that- I would still buy it again because I love it!
