I was given this as a gift from my wife. I have used all but the Aux input and they all work great.
It works so good now my wife wants one for her car.
Received the product in good time and in good shape.

I've owned mid-range Alpine products before and decided to go with Alpine again for an older car that still had a factory head unit but didn't deserve anything high-end. I was very surprised to see Alpine has gone to such low price points as they have with the CDE-100 while still offering things like a USB port and auxiliary input.
While it doesn't have a dimmer lead, the display isn't so bright that it is distracting at night. However, be aware that the blue control buttons are a bit intense if it is going to be high up in your dash.
If all you need is good quality sound, don't plan to add an amp later, and you use CDs (including MP3/AAC/WMA discs) but don't mind using the auxiliary input jack (which works well) or a USB memory stick for other audio sources, this might be the head unit for you.

Sounds great, much better than stock Toyota radio. Ipod and other brand MP3 players work and sound great thru the AUX input.
Have yet to use the USB input.
Only complaint is the Radio Tuning buttons tended to stick when setting the presets.
Installation was a breeze with wire harness for 1998 Toyota Corolla purchased thru Crutchfield.

I had hoped the USB port would work as well as it does! It remembers where you left off — even if you pull out the USB drive and remove the faceplate and turn the car off. When you put it all back together, you're listening at the moment you stopped before (crucial, of course, for audiobooks).
I've always loved Alpine's "minimalist" design — especially compared to many other companies, which are often way too "busy."
It's a bit difficult to remove the faceplate if it's installed too deeply in the dash, so make sure yours sticks out of the dash far enough to get a good grasp on it to pull off.

This is an excellent buy ([$] at time of purchase). It has all the features a simple guy like me needs, who doesn't run subwoofers or care as much about the quality of the sound system as I do the functionality of the deck. The only drawback is my iPod won't work through the USB port with the factory cable, and from what I've read you have to buy an Alpine brand iPod data cable for the deck to recognize it. Other than that I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

After being ripped off by a fraudulent Seller elsewhere, I was somewhat skeptical buying another Alpine online, but your salesperson was so authentic, patient, understanding & informative that I'd use your company exclusively in the future

I am very happy with the Alpine car stereo I purchased from ABT, not only due to the quality and design of Alpine products, but that ABT matched the price of another retailer of the product.[...]
