Comments about Audiovox Audiovox 12.1" Drop-Down Monitor With DVD Player:
I put this product in a 2009 F150 SuperCrew. I install It myself, been a mechanic 30+ years.
Installed on roof between front seats. The front passenger side, can hold the screen all the way open, seat reclined, can injoy a movie. The hardest part of the instilation on the F150 with side airbags was run the power and AV wire. They can be run behind the rubber seals on door posts then remove seats to run wires. The driver has a pause button on the front of the unit if you need to talk to passengers.

Comments about Audiovox Audiovox 12.1" Drop-Down Monitor With DVD Player:
I purchased this product to go in our 2007 Chevy Suburban for long road trips. I was tired of having to juggle around portable ones whose batteries were always dying. [...] It arrived exactly as described. I had it installed through a local installation group in less than 2 hours. It has worked perfectly ever since! They installed it in between the drivers seats and the picture can be easily seen by all my young kids in any seat on the second or third row. I love the fact that the remote can be used from the front seat via an IR port on BOTH sides of the unit (not possible in my odyssey). The mute button for talking to your kids is on the driver's side of the device--VERY thoughtful. Having the DVD insert on the passenger side makes for easy switching of movies. My Odyssey wireless headphones work fine with the unit. Having multiple radio frequencies to transmit through stereo is nice since the stations change as we are driving along long distances. It is extrememly to change radio frequencies via the remote control. Resolution of the screen is fabulous. I haven't seen the video games yet, but my husband said he felt they were fairly rudimentary...the game control device is very small, perfect for young hands. The only negative is that I cannot use my rear view mirron while the player is being used. The screen is too big. I think the location of my mirror on the windshield must also be a factor as I don't have this problem in my odyssey. Haven't tried purchasing a second mirrow and placing it lower on the window to see if that works. I just use my side mirrors (our trailer hitch blocks my rear view anyways). All in all--I HIGHLY recommend this unit. Happy travels!
