Chose this product because I wanted the feel of a traditional remote to view BluRay movies. The default game remote is not very intuitive & can be clunky while trying to view movies. I'm very pleased with this product & I don't need a roadmap to play a movie any more.

This remote is a must if you want the PS3 to play Blu-Ray disk. Some "older" universal remotes do not work. SONY SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED THIS IN THE PS3 PACKAGE!!!

I use this every day with my PS3, especially now that I've turned my PC into a media server and stream my entire music collection on the PS3. This remote is great to get around through my music, pictures, Blu Rays, and even the PSN Store. It's also great since I can use this instead of wearing down the batteries on my DS3. It also looks great, so it won't stick out next to your other remotes. I do wish it was programmable so you can use it to control other media devices (TV, receiver, etc.) but since it's a BT device that's impossible. I highly recommend this.

Nice that this is available, however it should be standard for anyone that wants to use the ps3 as a dvd/blu-ray movie player.

The Blu-Ray (and Bluetooth) DVD remote is great for Movies and can be used to setup your PS3. Standard universal remotes will not work with the PS3.
However any PS3 game controller can also be used to play movies and setup your PS3.

Nice when you need to navigate around the PS3 interface without having to use the joystick. In conjunction with the Kensington keyboard, the joystick only gets used for gaming. (We've got Linux installed on our PS3, and use the remote and keyboard to surf the 'net, watch movies, etc.)
