I am a new I Phone user. I wanted something to listen to my I Phone and also to charge it. This does both. The sound quality is excellent. This ia good value.

This model is a definite improvement over the original ICF-C1iPMK2 model that I purchased in 2007 for the same price (from an Apple Store). The buttons on the older model became unresponsive after about a year. The new unit is slightly taller than the older model, so there's less of a chance of accidentally pressing the iPod's top switch by accident. And there are three levels of brightness for the clock display (including OFF), where I had to use tinted film to reduce the older model's display to an acceptably dark level.
The sound is decent -- I just need it to blast me awake in the mornings -- and the controls are fairly easy to figure out and use.
The only thing keeping this unit from getting five stars is its lack of a universal dock adapter for iPods -- it comes with two for iPhone models, but none for iPods. I use an iPod video in my unit, so I had to buy adapters from Apple, which come only in white and cost $13 for three.
