Comments about Pioneer Pioneer Inno XM2go Portable XM Radio/MP3 Player INNO:
I love the Inno. I wanted an mp3 player as well as XM radio and I got both in one unit. It works excellent in my car which is the main reason I purchased it. It works great when walking or running but if I am in a wooded area, the signal will temporarily fade. When that happens, I just switch over to my saved music. I love that I can record songs straight from the xm stations and listen to them at any time.

Comments about Pioneer Pioneer Inno XM2go Portable XM Radio/MP3 Player INNO:
Others have written that the unit isn't portable and I would agree there are some limitations. You have to realize the unit is picking up satellite signals from 22,000 miles away, not from your local city... As far as progress, the unit works 10 times better than past portable units and I love it. I use the unit on my riding lawnmower and in my car and have no problems with reception. If I ride my bike with the unit, it works about 90% of the time, as it might lose signal near a building or under heavy trees.
The other feature of being able to store my own music along with the XM recorded songs is awesome!!!

Comments about Pioneer Pioneer Inno XM2go Portable XM Radio/MP3 Player INNO:
I replaced a Roady with this unit because of advertisements claiming the unit is portable with MP3. So far, unless docked in car or at home, it does not maintain a signal. When I called Pioneer to ask if there is something I can do to improve the reception, they told me the unit will lose its signal in wooded areas, indoors, and around tall buildings. To me, this is not acceptable as a portable device. Can't use it when running or exercising, can't use it cutting the grass, can't use it at work. Unless you are content using this "portable" unit in one place, it probably is not for you and I would not recommend.
Most disappointing is that Pioneer does not believe there is a problem with the lack of performance with their product.
It is misleading for Pioneer AND XM to promote this product as being portable.

Comments about Pioneer Pioneer Inno XM2go Portable XM Radio/MP3 Player INNO:
Promoted as being portable and able to pick up XM on the go...Only works when stationary, does not maintain signal when moved...Makes me wonder what advantage I have over Roady? Pioneer support line told me unit will not function properly in wooded areas, inside, or where buildings block signal. Will work fine in open areas. Not promoted that way...not practical unless you work, walk, run, or exercise in an open field...I am very disappointed with INNO and even more disappointed in Pioneer's denial of a performance problem with their product. I do like the ability to record though. However, the only way to record a clean song is if unit is not moving...Again, not too practical for unit promoted as being able to pick up XM anywhere...Without working well out of the docking station, this unit has no advantages over the Roady I've had for past 2 years.
