bought it early 2006, and used the software to update to latest firmware.
have over 400 songs saved, not to mention live concerts - just a great little unit.
have car docks in work trucj and in rv, exec speakers at work, and home dock coinnected to home stereo - my favorite little radio!
one receiver - use it EVRYWHERE!

I've had it for almost a year and love it! It stores tons of music and records with one button. You can set it to record 2 hour chunks, only minus is you miss a few seconds to a minute if you record more than 2 hours in a row. Otherwise, it's great, small, and a great iPod replacement. I bought a separate power cord and just use the car dock in my home rather than buying the home dock.

It IS a little quirky, but... once you get used to the unit, you can avoid some of the bugs. Unfortunealtely, I think you need both Home/Car docks = pricy. Battery life is poor ~ 4 hours. The ability to listen to Howard 100/101... Priceless.

radio is great except schedulde recordings and is not mac friendy im a howard stern fan and im missing a lot of shows because the item freezes
