Comments about Apple Apple 8GB Black 2nd Generation iPod Nano:

I had a 2 gig nano and gave it away to someone leaving the country so I already knew what to expect . I replaced it with an 8 gig nano and love the extra space. The replaced these with the video nano but the battery life on those is not nearly as strong.

Comments about Apple Apple 8GB Black 2nd Generation iPod Nano:

This is my very first Mp3 player, and I'm GLAD I decided to go with the iPod over the Sandisk Sansa.

I researched Mp3's for over 4 months, and in the end chose the iPod because of the number of accessories available, and the ease of use. To date, I am still extremely pleased with my choice.

The ONE THING I am unhappy with is the size of the CLOCK - I use the iPod to do massages, and I absolutely CANNOT see the time during a session. I wish there was a control to make the clock cover the ENTIRE SCREEN (at least during the massage session) so I can keep track of my time!

iTunes software was easy to set up (I DON'T have Vista - I have W2000) and use. It was a bit difficult finding the software version I needed on the Apple site, but eventually I found it.

It's easy to both rip my CD's with iTunes (I've never done it before!) and transfer them to the iPod. This was a HUGE relief to me! I don't have time to fuss when it comes to transferring my CD collection to iPod, and they way iTunes is set up, I can start the ripping process and walk away to do other things while it's doing its thing.

I feel proud that I have stepped into the new technology, and the iPod made the transition much less stressful and even pleasant.

Service & Delivery comments:

Prompt delivery, packed securely, excellent condition.

Customer service was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the purchasing process easy and satisfying.

I will DEFINITELY recommend your company to my family, friends, and clients.

Thank you!

This ipod works perfectly for me. I have not had any problems with it and there is enough room where I can switch playlists and add to existing ones without worrying about having enough space. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an ipod with a sizeable storage capacity.

Great design but software is restrictive
By SaiatVerified Purchaser from New York on 5/23/2007
Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Great Sound, Long battery, Lots of Storage, Simple Controls, Slick design, Tough
Cons:
Very restrictive software
Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:
Frequent Traveler, Student
Bottom Line:

Comments about Apple Apple 8GB Black 2nd Generation iPod Nano:

I really like the physical design. It is slim, and the controlls are easy to manipulate. The sofware end is what's upsetting in this otherwise great machine. Songs cannot be deleted or moved to folders on the device. It does not support multi language fonts. I went for the design and battery longevity and settled for the software. Unfortunately, today there are not too many choices in that niche of MP3 players.

Best MP3 player on the market
By CINVerified Purchaser from Brooklyn on 10/23/2006
Pros:
Excellent battery life, Great Sound, Lots of Storage, Stylish
Cons:
Cheap headphones, No turn-off button
Best Uses:
Commuting, Sports, Travel

Comments about Apple Apple 8GB Black 2nd Generation iPod Nano:

Be careful with sweat, rain or spills, especially if you jog with it.
Bought this to replace prior generation 4 GB nano that died on me (I opened it and saw 2 drops of water that got inside and burned out the power chip). I could have tried sending it back for warranty but Appple may charge you 100$ and send it back without repairing it if they determine it is due to extreme temperature and/or humidity, which is a very nebulous term.
Headphones were decent but not good and do not fit well when running. Had to buy Sony's and sound is excellent.
Controls work flawlessly and it is very stylish.
Battery life significantly longer that prior nano model.
Still worth 5 stars...
