Comments about Apple Apple 8GB Silver 3rd Generation iPod Nano:

I just bought a car and was at first disappointed because it only had a single disc CD player ... then I discovered the IPod connection in the center console. After plugging up my son's 2nd Gen IPod Nano I immediately started shopping for my own IPod. With 8GB of storage I've loaded many playlists of mixed CDs as well as full CDs and it can all be controlled using the buttons on my car stereo. I love it! I would have been fine with a 2 Gen Nano because I really don't care that much about some of the other features like video but ... what the heck. The two reasons for not giving 5 stars would be the price and no FM tuner. Apple products tend to be somewhat pricy when compared to some of the other very capable MP3/video players out there. In my case, I could choose to use the car stereo AUX input and some other MP3 player and have no head unit control or buy an IPod. I do think you get excellent quality for the higher price you have to pay. My other complaint is no built in FM tuner. I bought Apple's MA070G FM Radio Tuner so I could use my IPod while running the treadmill at the gym. The gym broadcasts the sound for their TVs over FM stations. One side note to consider; when using ITunes to record your music and load your IPod you may want to consider changing the import format from AAC to MP3 or WMA if you have other non-Apple players.

Comments about Apple Apple 8GB Silver 3rd Generation iPod Nano:

Apple obviously has cornered the market on MP Players and they're the only "hip" ones to have when hangin out with friends but in all reality there is a ton of less expensive MP Players out there with better features for less money. [...]. All in all though, the apple is a reliable product that will make you hip with all your buddies.... enjoy.

battery can not be replaced by owner. this is the major drawback of the ipod. but, hopefully, when rechargeable battery is no longer rechargeable, it will be time for the next generation ipod.

Comments about Apple Apple 8GB Silver 3rd Generation iPod Nano:

Can be a little difficult to organize, I thought Apple had changed their Ipods from the early ones but you still can't replace the battery yourself, you most likely have to send it in to them to do, probably at an inflated price.
