I had been interested in purchasing an Ipod for a very long time but I'm one of those people who has a great fear of digital gadgets (I never understand them). After being convinced by a co-worker that Ipods were really easy to use and load up I finally broke down and purchased a Ipod Nano Generation 4. Also the fact that it comes in purple was also a plus. This is the first digital contraption that I have bought and within 5 minutes learned to use it. Just slip in a CD into your computer and ITunes syncs it onto the Ipod in 2 minutes or less. There are plenty of things to play with on ITunes and the ITunes How To isn't too confusing. There is one thing that ITunes or the IPod manual should note: The default is an ACC size file. Be sure to change the format from loading up in an ACC size to a MPG3 or else you'll use up more than half of the GB space with less than 500 songs. There is no difference in the sound. I use my Ipod everyday -- going to work, while working, shopping -- it goes with me everywhere. Too bad cell phones aren't this easy !!!

The directions that came with it were minimal at best and confusing...basically, poor drawings. You really have to go online to get all the details. It's quite small and seems fragile so I bought a hard plastic case to protect with a clip for walking or working out. It is easy to download songs and has lots of good features I haven't tried yet....plenty of storage !
