Product was bought for my two children for Christmas - 7 and 8 yrs old. Bought mostly for apps and games but some music. Would recommend not allowing a passcode to access the phone. My 8 yrs old decided to change it so her 17 yr old brother would not use it and she forgot what she changed it to. All the apps we paid for that were downloaded were lost since we had to do a full system restore to re-access the ipod. Speaker not good at all. Recommend purchasing insurance as well. Childs friend already dropped and cracked the screen after 3 days...

I actually bought the I Touch for my daughter and she loves it-far exceeds her 1st gen I Pod+texting is better than her phone let alone numerous apps.We'll have to wait and see about reliability but if it's comparable to the old one then double thumbs up!

I bought this to replace an older mp3 device I had received as a gift many years ago. The Ipod Touch blows me a way. I've downloaded several business applications and now use the Ipod Touch as a mini computer for making notes, developing spreadsheets etc. I'm a musician and have also found several really cool and useful apps for finding chords in open tunings, transposing keys etc. This is probably the most useful piece of small electronic gear I have purchased in recent years. I love the fact that I can have my music playing in the background and use any of the other applications (or play games) at the same time or check email when have access to a wireless network
