I found that with Itunes I could download my personal CD's on the ipod. This came in handy since I did not want to buy music!

I bought this product primarily for workouts. The size make it a perfect item to clip onto my shirt collar. Virtually weightless. I found that after my first workout this has absolutely no sweat protection. My 2nd generation shuffle sat in the same spot on my workout gear and never had an issue. This one constantly cuts out and flat out refuses to work. All because it is in the proximity of sweat.

For workouts, this is a terrible device. Look for something else.

The controls are terrible, too. How hard would it have been to put a few small buttons on this device to control the music? Putting them on the cord forces me to buy new headsets to control the unit, or some sort of cable that has the controls. Why?

Someone at Apple was clearly thinking of revenue and not innovation on this one.

This is a great IPOD to use while exercising. It clips easily to your shirt or pants. The sound is great. The controls are near your neck/chest so you do not have to look down to change the song or volume.
