This is an excellent Video Mp3 Player. Great Sony Sound and excellent video playback. You can display the video either vertically, or horizontally (perfect for widescreen). I use Tivo To Go and can transfer tv shows directly by dragging and drop. Very easy to use. Couldn't ask for anything better. I can store approx. 400 songs and 5 30 min TV shows

My first MP3 purchase in many years.I wanted a relative inexpensive player and didn't feel the need for massive storage given my use. Overall just wanted a decent screen and good sound - and I'm not a big fan of IPOD's thus went "reviewing" elsewhere...I stumbled upon the Sony 4GB player and though not nearly as popular and prevalent as other MP3's, it received excellent reviews. After owning for over a month, I would agree with all of them! This model came with the better ear buds compared to other Sony players. With the NUMEROUS adjustments (sound option menu) that can be made to obtain your personal desire, the ear buds and player definitely sound great! Overall, as an MP3 player it sounds and performs awesome.Video - this was my first MP3 that also supported video playback. The 2 inch screen is small yet normal for this style/size of player. I was amazed on how nice compressed DVD movies both look and sound. Obviously you can select the display orientation, zoom etc. to utilize the screen to your desire. It uses the same H.264/MPEG-4 video files as most MP3 and IPOD devices. I use DVDFab HD Decrypter (free download) and Nero 7 to rip then compress DVD's to the required MPEG-4 file. Again, awesome picture and sound quality.Not only can you use Windows Media Player but also the supplied Sony music and video managing software. I tend to use Media Player for music "sync" and the Sony software for movies. Bottom line, an easy process on either application.Overall, I rated this product and purchase from ABT as 5 stars. It does everything I wanted it to do - WELL. [...]The only con I would remotely mention is a lack of accessories (cases etc.). Not a big deal for me but maybe some. I did manage to find a nice neoprene case [...] that works perfect for sports and overall protecting the screen/device.A big thumbs up "recommend!"
