Comments about Samsung Samsung Hi Definition Conversion Black DVD Player:
I have had other Samsung DVD player's, in fact a previous version to this one. Even though performance and image quality is still very good, the construction is just not that good anymore, the plastics on the player seem and feel cheaper, and it is very noticeable in the remote. Also de dvd tray door gets stuck sometime (a bit of uncut plastic seems to be getting stuck inside the player).
And this is a new player, I don't think Samsung is paying attention anymore.

I guess I was expecting more. Picture isn't any better than the Harmon Kardon DVD carosel player that I had before.
It seems to be cheap construction, shinny reflecting plastic front that makes it almost
impossible to read what is behind it.
I have had to play with the DVD tray opening and closing because it has gotten stuck. Cheap, poorly designed remote. Pass!

ready to use right out of the box. good buy at under $100. not ready for the BIG price of HD or Blu Ray...this is a great alternative.
