Nice unit. The remote is especially easy to use. The signal strength of the remote is excellent (works from all angles) The picture is very clear. You cannot beat the quality of this DVD player for the price.

I was looking for a good quality DVD player for my bedroom for under $[...]. I did a little research on C-Net and Epinions and came up with this Sony. [...]It's easy to use, nice looking and plays well. Another nice feature is that it plays all different types of CDs and DVDs. If you're looking for a simple DVD player from a trusted name, this is it.

This DVD player allows you to select specific chapters or segments on your DVD's and arrange them in any order of play that you want. For example, I use the player for my home exercise workouts. Particularly, I play strength training dvd's and can vary my workout by the order in which I play the various dvd chapters. Chest, back, and shoulders today. Arms, legs, and abs tomorrow. This DVD player is great.

Great way to view your jpegs (pictures) in CD or DVD format, add mpegs to add tunes, makes viewing your digital pictures awesome!

Would have purchased a combo VCR/DVD but Sony did not make it in black. This was an alternative choice but is so compact and looks great that it worked out fine.
