I've used this unit for over six months -- it has performed very well over that time with moderate use. It is easy to use and produces a great picture (and I have not yet moved up to the component output). It does take a little longer to "boot up" than I am used to, but then again, so does my new HD digital TV ;^) A very good deal for the price. I use this player with a Sansui 26 " CRT type HD digital TV. Oh yeah, it plays some really worn DVDs that my old player would not play.

This DVD player was nicely priced, [...], and was easy to set up. Sort of. I had some issues with the sound - but figured them out. Looks great; works fine. So far, so good.

Have yet to find a disk that this unit will not play! Disks I thought were shot play on this unit. Sony hits a homer once again!

This was given to my in-laws. They needed a replacement for a broken DVD player. I hooked it up and they have been using it effortlessly since then. It is working well and easy to use. I would be the first to know if there were any problems since I would need to take care of any issues.
